🌿 Phormium Wings of Gold – Bold Variegated Foliage for Modern, Water‑Wise Landscapes

🌱 A Striking Architectural Plant with Bright Gold‑Edged Leaves

Phormium Wings of Gold is a standout evergreen flax variety known for its bold variegated foliage and strong architectural presence. With its long, upright leaves edged in glowing golden‑yellow tones, Phormium Wings of Gold brings instant colour, structure and movement to modern gardens, rockeries, borders and water‑wise landscapes. The dramatic contrast between the bright margins and the deep green centre of each leaf creates a vibrant, eye‑catching display throughout the year.

This hardy perennial thrives in full sun to semi‑shade and performs exceptionally well in coastal, windy and dry conditions. It’s tough, leathery leaves and clumping growth habit make it ideal for low‑maintenance gardens where reliability and year‑round interest are essential. Because it is naturally drought‑tolerant once established, Phormium Wings of Gold is a favourite for contemporary landscapes, poolside planting and areas where water conservation is important.

The plant’s upright, fountain‑like form adds height and texture to mixed beds, while its bold colour makes it an excellent feature plant in decorative containers. Whether used as a single specimen or grouped for mass impact, it delivers strong visual appeal with minimal care.
