Granadilla ‘Ester’ A vigorous climber with glossy foliage and striking purple fruit, this cultivar was discovered in 1995 by JC Esterhuysen near Polokwane. It’s a standout selection from the purple granadilla group, bred for high yields, sweet-tangy pulp, and year-round fruiting.

🍈 Fruit: Tough purple skin with orange-yellow pulp; average 65–75 g per fruit
🌼 Flowers: Large, fragrant, and bee-attracting—great for biodiversity
🌞 Sun & soil: Full sun, well-draining soil, and a sturdy trellis or fence
