Description
🌿 Liriope Giant – Lily Turf (Evergreen Perennial Groundcover)
Liriope Giant, commonly known as Giant Lily Turf, is a hardy, evergreen perennial valued for its bold, arching foliage and tall, showy flower spikes. This robust variety forms dense clumps of deep green, strap‑shaped leaves that bring structure and texture to garden beds throughout the year. During late summer to early autumn, it produces upright spikes of rich purple flowers that rise above the foliage, adding height, colour, and movement to the landscape.
Because of its vigorous growth habit, Liriope Giant is ideal for mass planting, edging, borders, and filling larger garden spaces where a strong, reliable groundcover is needed. It thrives in full sun to semi‑shade and adapts well to a wide range of soils, including areas where other plants may struggle. Once established, it is low maintenance, water‑wise, and tolerant of heat, making it a dependable choice for both residential and commercial landscapes.
This variety is especially useful under trees, along pathways, and in mixed perennial beds where year‑round greenery is desired. Its tall flower spikes attract bees and pollinators, while the evergreen foliage provides lasting appeal even outside the flowering season. Liriope Giant also performs beautifully in containers, adding height and lush texture to patio and courtyard plantings.
