Description
🍍 Mangave ‘Pineapple Express’ PBR
The Mangave ‘Pineapple Express’ PBR is a striking, fast‑growing succulent hybrid prized for its dramatic foliage, compact form and unique pineapple‑like appearance. This premium variety combines the bold structure of agaves with the faster growth and softer texture of manfredas, resulting in a plant that is both architectural and easy to grow. Its distinctive shape and speckled leaves make it a standout feature in modern gardens, pots and water‑wise landscapes.
Bold, Speckled Foliage with Pineapple Appeal
Mangave ‘Pineapple Express’ forms a tight rosette of long, narrow leaves that arch gracefully outward. The foliage is deep green with heavy burgundy spotting, creating a dramatic speckled pattern that intensifies in bright sunlight. The rosette shape resembles the crown of a pineapple, giving the plant its memorable name. As it matures, the plant develops a fuller, more sculptural form that adds instant impact to any display. The leaves are firm yet flexible, making it safer and easier to handle than traditional agaves.
Hardy, Water‑Wise and Fast Growing
This Mangave thrives in full sun to bright light and prefers well‑drained, sandy or gritty soil. It is drought‑tolerant once established and requires minimal watering, making it ideal for low‑maintenance and water‑wise gardening. Mangave ‘Pineapple Express’ grows faster than most agaves, reaching maturity more quickly while maintaining excellent durability. It tolerates heat, wind and light frost, staying attractive throughout the year.
Versatile Decorative Use
Perfect for feature pots, rockeries, succulent beds and contemporary landscapes, this variety pairs beautifully with aloes, echeverias, crassulas and other bold‑textured succulents. Its dramatic form and rich colouring make it a natural focal point in both indoor and outdoor settings.
A Premium, Architectural Hybrid
Whether grown in a nursery pot or planted in a sunny garden bed, the Mangave ‘Pineapple Express’ PBR offers bold structure, unique colouring and effortless care — a must‑have for collectors and modern water‑wise gardens.
