🍂 Berberis Rosy Glow – Variegated Pink Foliage for Colourful, Compact Gardens

A striking, compact shrub known for its beautiful, variegated foliage in shades of pink, cream, and deep burgundy. Its colourful leaves create a soft, mottled effect that stands out in any garden setting. With its dense, rounded growth habit and year‑round interest, ideal for gardeners who want a hardy, low‑maintenance shrub that brings texture and colour to borders, pathways, and feature beds.

🌱 Why Berberis Rosy Glow Is a Garden Favourite

This variety is loved for its unique variegation, which intensifies in full sun. New growth emerges in bright pink tones, gradually blending into deeper reds and purples as the season progresses. Small yellow flowers appear in spring, followed by ornamental berries that attract birds, adding even more seasonal value.

The Berberis Rosy Glow thrives in full sun to light shade and adapts well to a wide range of soils. It is drought‑tolerant once established and handles tough conditions with ease, making it a reliable choice for South African gardens. Its thorny stems also make it useful as a natural barrier or security planting.
