Description

🌿 Brunfelsia Pauciflora – Fragrant, Colour‑Changing Shrub for Semi‑Shade Gardens

🌱 A Unique Shrub with Flowers That Shift from Purple to White

Brunfelsia Pauciflora, commonly known as Yesterday‑Today‑Tomorrow, is a striking evergreen shrub admired for its fragrant, colour‑changing blooms and lush green foliage. With its rounded form and generous flowering habit, Brunfelsia Pauciflora brings charm, fragrance and soft colour to semi‑shade gardens, courtyards and decorative beds. The plant’s unique flowers open deep purple, fade to lavender and finally turn white — creating a three‑tone display that lasts for weeks during the flowering season.

This shrub thrives in semi‑shade and enjoys rich, well‑draining soil, making it ideal for woodland‑style gardens, shaded borders and protected patios. Its glossy leaves remain attractive throughout the year, giving the plant a full, healthy appearance even outside the blooming period. Because it prefers consistent moisture and a sheltered position, Brunfelsia Pauciflora performs beautifully in gardens where many sun‑loving shrubs struggle.

The sweet fragrance of the flowers adds an extra layer of appeal, making this shrub a favourite near walkways, windows and outdoor seating areas. Whether planted as a feature shrub, used in mixed borders or grown in large decorative containers, it delivers long‑lasting beauty with minimal shaping required.
