🌿 Phormium Yellow Waves

A striking evergreen New Zealand flax known for its bright yellow‑green foliage and graceful arching form. With its bold colour and flowing texture, the Phormium Yellow Waves is ideal for modern landscapes, water‑wise gardens, mixed borders, and feature containers. This hardy architectural plant brings movement, contrast, and year‑round interest to any outdoor space, making it a favourite among landscapers and homeowners wanting a vibrant, low‑maintenance focal point.

🌱 Why Phormium Yellow Waves Is a Garden Favourite

The Phormium Yellow Waves is prized for its long, ribbon‑like leaves that cascade outward in soft, elegant curves. The foliage features a glowing blend of lime, chartreuse, and soft yellow tones that brighten any planting scheme. Its relaxed, fountain‑like habit adds a sense of flow and softness, making it perfect for balancing more rigid architectural plants.

This versatile variety typically reaches 1–1.2 m in height and forms a wide, graceful clump. It performs beautifully as a feature plant, in mass plantings, or in large decorative pots. Its evergreen nature ensures consistent colour throughout the year, while its resilience makes it suitable for a wide range of South African conditions, including coastal exposure and drought once established.
